The Ready Mixed Concrete Association of
Ontario (RMCAO) is the voice of the prov-
ince’s concrete and construction indus-
tries, representing more than 96 percent
of all concrete production and manufac-
turing. Formed in 1959, the non-profit as-
sociation works to spread the word about
education, technology, research and inno-
vation to architects, designers, contractors
and concrete companies. Though concrete
has been around for centuries, work is still
being done to spread its reputation as a
sustainable material with an impressive
lifecycle.

CONCRETE ONTARIO
In an effort to better communicate the at-
tributes of their product, RMCAO recently
rebranded under the name Concrete On-
tario, said Chris Conway, the association’s
President & CEO. The Mississauga-based
