The project has provided significant economic benefits to the region, creating approximately 700 direct and 300 indirect jobs during construction. “The economic benefits of this project go beyond the construction of the new centre,” says Friesen. More opportunities will continue to be available to support the expanded health and correctional services offered at the new centre.
