growth. When the federal government passed
Tthe Cannabis Act in October 2018, Canadians

were finally able to legally access recreational and medicinal

cannabis. The “second wave” of legalization, which happened
a year later in 2019, opened up the market to edible cannabis,

extracts, and topicals—think gummy bears, chocolates,
and beverages, all types of products that require extraction

solutions.
