Spring
– the season of replenishment, rebirth and renewal – is
upon us. As the sun inches its way closer into our everyday
cycles, Canadians latch onto the new opportunities the season
brings, seeking inspiration from the blossoming chrysanthe-
mums and evaporating snow. Our Spring edition carries out
this theme of transformation, an ideal all successful business
ventures must abide by, and illustrates those small, medium
and large businesses that represent our growing economy.
We asked
featured companies how they ensure growth as the
industry shifts, and a unifying consensus was outlined in each
instance: innovation is key. It is only through this persistence
for change that we can drive our economy forward and away
from the shadows of immobility.
Entrepreneurs
come in all forms and figures, from the chil-
dren selling lemonade on the street corner, university gradu-
ates inventing the latest ‘it’ product from their parents’ base-
ment, or the white-collar executive in constant search of new
niche markets. Our spread speaks to those personal experi-
ences that leak into the creativity and resourcefulness exis-
tent in any prosperous business.
The path
you choose to follow – through every bump, hurdle
and barrier - is just as important as the end-result. Leave the
compass at home, and select your own destiny.
Cheers,
Mudeeha Yousaf
