THE FUTURE
As part of marking 50 years of Suncor’s oil
sands operations in 2017, the Suncor Energy
Foundation (SEF) announced a $3 million in-
vestment as a founding partner of the recently
established Wood Buffalo Community Foun-
dation (WBCF). The investment will help the
WBCF continue their collaborative work with
donors, grant committees and local charities
to strengthen the community and enhance
quality of life in the Wood Buffalo region.

with community members and organizations
that saw the importance of diversifying fund-
